So what can you do?

You could write fiction that ranks lower.

Now, that’s easy. It’s ranking #1 that is really hard. But the number one book is not the only one that makes money.

Even the book that ranks at number 50,000 makes money.

According to Kindlepreneur’s KDP sales rank calculator, a book with that ranking sells 5 copies per day, and that’s $10.

Write one book a week, 52 books in a year, and you would make 520. Assuming they could all rank as number 50.

And forgetting all about two major things:

1. If you write a book a week, you’re bound to learn something and get better at writing.
2. When you publish more books, your chances of finding readers grow.

Now we have better books and more readers… That equals higher income.

A survey back in 2019 said that the average writer who made $100,000 had published 28 books.

You could be there in six months. Yes, even if you keep this as a side hustle.
